EnVision Conference

Summary: This semester, I had the opportunity to be a Systems and Registration coordinator for the 2024 Fall EnVision Conference led by the Student Engineers Council (SEC). The EnVision Conference is a student led event that aims to increase engineering awareness in elementary and middle school students, and inspire the next generation of engineers. This year, we had a record 270 students in attendance, nearly 70 more than the previous high. As a Systems and Registration coordinator, I was responsible for developing and maintaining all registration systems and processes (no easy feat for 270 students), in addition to designing the website for the conference. I also served as the primary POC between parents and the EnVision Team, collecting forms, answering questions, and working through any concerns. Finally, I oversaw all check-in and check-out processes the day of the conference (I even ran down a parent trying to leave without checking out). While this experience was honestly one of the most difficult and time consuming things I’ve ever done, seeing the joy of all 270 students throughout the conference made it more than worth it.
